"'B' Honduras Noir"   Kafka, Bill Burroughs, K. Ishiguro & Tom Waits - inspired feature -- A serious art music instrumental adept (clarinet [this can be dissembled], redhead, attractive, middle 20s or so, very engagingly ethical and likeably vibrant) at the Aspen Music Festival in 1970, is refused admittance to Julliard at the end of that summer. Seeing how devastated she is, a new friend studying with her at Aspen, a talented student of composition (he is British, and looks something like Montgommery Clift q.v.) encourages her to come and stay with him for a time in British Honduras at his family's estate, while she decides what to do with her life. All is not as it would seem, as she finds out rather too late. A local, and once regionally famous, Afro-Cuban music band leader who now, a despairing alcoholic, works for the family within the timber industry as a laborer, befriends her without anyone in the composer's sinister family becoming aware of it -- by dint of the improbability of their conspicuous socio-economic and cultural displacement. Through their combined cunning, they devise a scheme to try and stop a singularly horrific event, much involving the composer's family fortune -- but far more than that microcosm -- and which event, irretrievably it seems, comes closer each day.

"Viva Las Psycho"   comedy/mystery-farce -- A Vegas Elvis impersonation contest. At the same hotel-casino we find three semi-professional entertainers who part-time as Anthony Perkins celebrity lookalikes. Amidst the mix, Elvises start mysteriously disappearing; we and the casino's polite, gentleman owners have a problem: one of the virtually identical A.P.'s believes he is Norman Bates, whose ' mother inside '  finds the famous Presley sexual body gestures alarmingly unacceptable. " It's just a hunk-a hunk-a burnin' " 30/40's screwball comedy-throwback, prodigiously updated. [Conceived at Sal's Dimples, Burbank, and afterwards at 450 W.
